in his twilight years general of the army omar n. bradley decided he wanted to write his autobiography. there was much he wanted to say about his family, his youth and the pre world war ii years
he was not altogether satisfied with his excellent world war ii war memoir, a soldiers story, which was ghosted by his aide, chester b. hansen and published in 1951. thos memoir was written long before the official world WAR II documents were declassifief or the official and private papers of eisenhower, patton and others had been made available.
